Ciao Italy (part ii)

Friday, June 30, 2023

(24APR23) Who would have thought that I was FINALLY able to come back to Italy?! I have never really thought of touring there again yet but thanks to my friends for bringing me along their trip! We visited the Tuscany/Liguria region which includes Pisa and Cinque Terre---I cannot believe it. What once I was reading in other travel blogs now turned into something that I have gone to. Hence, I guess that the Trevi Fountain wishes must have worked (well, 2 out of 3 coin tosses yet!) ! Check out my pre-pandemic visit to Rome here. 😉

So here’s a 4-day itinerary to one of Italy’s beautiful cities and coastlines. Indeed, this has given us a break from the gloomy weather (and hectic work life) in London. 😝

Japan Tales: TOKYO (part 4)

Wednesday, May 31, 2023

PS: Yes, I have been watching Spy x Family and I superr love the series! So much love for the Forgers 💝

(31MAR23) In less than 2 months, I can’t believe that I’m back in Asia! Moreso, I am thrilled to spend this year’s Lent in Japan with my family❤️ I know a week’s never enough to tour another continent but I pushed through with this for personal reasons (and I’d save that story for another time, maybe?Haha!) and also to attend my cousin’s wedding. Nevertheless, it’s great to continue my “Japan Tales”—the post-pandemic era. 💓
Of all the countries that I went, it’s Japan that I have visited frequently and it’s a country that I wouldn’t really get tired of going back. It has a very safe community no matter which city you head on despite the language barrier. And apart from being a tech-world and a fashion district, Japan is known for its gastronomical cuisine.

I made a lot of Japan contents over the years already so as answered from my previous Instagram stories, here’s a random entry about my trip in Tokyo which will focus more on the food that I ate there! 😅 I have to say that Japanese food is a necessity for Asians like me and an interesting palate for other walks of life. 😉

the COVID19 Lockdown Itinerary

Wednesday, May 6, 2020

Tell me, is this gonna be, "wake me up when COVID19 ends"?!

2020 has been very peculiar that taught us new vocabularies such as enhanced quarantine, lockdown, frontliner, social distancing and the massive use of PPE (personal protective equipment). It felt like we are all living in a Big Brother house as we have to stay indoors in a certain point of time. As a healthcare professional, I got to say this virus is really contagious which keeps our work nerve-wrecking in the hospital lately. Aside from the lack of PPE, there's understaffing that leads to burnout so the probability of being infected is high. So lets cooperate with our national policies to #STAYATHOME. Personally, I still feel a pang of disappointment with my cancelled travel plans due to this outbreak. It made me stay here in London for the longest period already which lingers my homesickness ;( Hence, I figured to create a lockdown itinerary instead! Truly, there's more than just an "eat-sleep-repeat" routine at home 😜

Tour de PARIS

Wednesday, November 13, 2019

Thanks to Big Bus Tours for the best hop on-hop off experience!

It may sound common, mainstream or whatever but my first EU trip led me to France. I honestly don't have plans of going here this year but due to itinerary reasons and as my parents came to visit me in London (yay!!),this happened. Nevertheless, I have no regrets that I started my Schengen musing here--Paris is absolutely lovely.❤️
I will give out tips and how my 5-day itinerary went in this city of love. ;D

Japan Tales: To Sakuras and Namba foodtripping.

Thursday, May 10, 2018

I'm back in Japan and it came in early as 1)I'm travelling with my family and 2) We finally made it to cherry blossom season! :D God knows how much I have fought at work to get my VL's approved this month (especially the fact that unexpectedly, I got transferred at the adult ER..but lets not talk about that for now.Haha). Our departure flight had a stop-over in Taiwan which got me more excited even if we just stayed there for an hour (and we were only inside the airport!). Yet I still find it thrilling and definitely got my hopes up that this will be my next trip soon! *fingers crossed* Though I have other Asian countries in mind to visit for the next quarter..hmm. ;)

Japan Tales: The other side of Kansai

Saturday, December 9, 2017

Part of my sidetrip on my vacay to the Kansai region was to visit 3 other towns aside from Osaka namely, Kyoto, Nara and Kobe. Last Oct.17th, I joined a 12-hr sightseeing tour by Limon Shinki Bus Tour. The whole trip was literally just sightseeing and picture-taking as you only get to spend for around 90 minutes per town so therefore, there's little time to shop for that matter.Haha
Anyway, we started at 8am from bus pick-ups at Umeda and Namba-OCAT. We were quite a mix of foreigners who joined the trip so they provided English and Chinese tour guides. Besides that,we were given our itineraries as the tour offers different packages like some do not include meals or others end their trip in Nara only. Mine consisted of having a set lunch instead of a buffet and journey to 3 towns. :)

Japan Tales: OSAKA!

Here goes my yearly travel in Japan! And this time,I fly to the Kansai region,Osaka! ;D

Le Start of My Birthmonth

Friday, October 20, 2017

It was my birthday last October 5th and as usual,I had 2 separate parties for my family and friends.Basically,my pre-birthday was spent with my crew friends at The Barn by Tipsy Pig
.This was pretty much one of the most affordable bar&resto that I've dined into with very good ambiance!

Nihao Hong Kong!

Friday, May 12, 2017

After 7 years, we're back in Hong Kong for the third time! Thanks to Fiesta Travel and Tours for our flight tickets :) We purchased it from a Travel Expo last February and their agency gave us a very good deal. However, we didn't go on a packaged tour anymore since we already went to places such as Disneyland and Ocean Park before. Our trip this time covers more on the Kowloon area in terms of sightseeing (and shopping haha!).

Macau for a Day,Takes the Money Away!

Monday, May 8, 2017

The second day of our trip covers a day tour in the 'Casino Capital of China',Macau! Well, I have been to Las Vegas last year and I surely believe my views would take a few comparisons. Though inspite of what is expected such as the casinos and each hotels' connecting malls, it is a must to explore the main square of this Portuguese-colonized country.

Japan Tales: TOKYO! (part 1)

Thursday, December 15, 2016

Firstly,I'd like to apologize (again) that i wasn't able to post for a very long time! My computer broke down 3 months ago and it's still on repair; Hopefully my files there will be backed-up as soon as possible. This is also why I couldn't post my blog entry about my trip to America! ;( Though anyhow, I really hope it'll be fixed.

It feels soo good to be back in Japan!! Me and my family went on a trip to Tokyo last November 2. We stayed at Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku district. I love it that the place is just a walking distance from the shopping centres ❤️

Japan Tales: Fukuoka (part 2)

Thursday, August 20, 2015

June 2: Temple Run at Dazaifu + Drink night with the cousinsThis was our only day tour for the whole trip: to go to the temple of Dazaifu.

Fun times with my loves

Monday, March 30, 2015

Pardon my very very late post about what I did last Valentine's day since I started working recently in the hospital and I'm in the midst of 'crucial adjustment'. I've been working for 3 weeks already and so far,I couldn't say I like it ;| Or perhaps, it takes time for me to grow on the OB-Gyne ward. hashtag kalma!

Anyway, I just revised the title of this entry instead which is about my Vday and my friend's craycray party. My valentine's day this year was quite different from before; Having said that half of my loved ones are distant from me already--my bestfriend is in Maryland while my suitor is in New York. Yet this suitor of mine knew how to create huge efforts even if we weren't able to spend it together. He made a video message to me and it was so sweet that I burst into tears while I was watching it ;")

That video message and the moment that we talked through Facetime on a Vday means a lot!

And here's something that I gave him last January.I hope to meet Mr.Jay someday ❤️

Besides that, I also spent Vday with 2 of my crazy crew at iHOP, Araneta. It was pretty much our first hang-out of the year!

Happy Hearts' day from ze crazy crew!Bianca,Sophie and yours truly! ;)
We tried the breakfast combo which contained scrambled eggs, sausage and hash brown with a side order of dessert.

1) Belgian Waffle with Berries 2) Strawberry Nutella Crepe 3)Strawberry Banana Danish Crepe

The third one's my order and it tasted sooo good!I enjoyed my strawberry/banana crepe very well ^_^
Then after a month,we celebrated Bianca's birthday at her condo and it was heck fun.I went there at 12mn already 'cause I was on an on-call PM shift that time (and frustratingly,it was hectic). So I had a sleepover at their place instead and pretty much, the party ended at 5am in the morning.Hahaha :)) YOLO nights with my crazy crew has always been the best ❤️ I don't mind being drunk and sleepless with them.

So here we are, having karaoke while drinking Patron and Raspberry Absolut. This comes with a pink cocktail tower too!

Not only that,we were able to have an FT chat with our dearest in Maryland as well!Hello Kristine :D

Hence we are COMPLETE.

I hope these fun times are gonna happen again soon.More crewventures to come inspite the crazy work scheds! And I sure hope to catch with my other pending entries ;)
'til then!

the CREW year 3: K-Pop Style!

Monday, December 22, 2014

Last Dec 13 (Saturday), me and my crazy crew went to Kpub BBQ at Trinoma for Sophie's pre-birthday celebration. It's been awesome that we've seen each other again after a month of RN duties. And not only that, it was also our 3rd year of becoming the CREW barkada ;D
