RN duty-duties

Tuesday, December 9, 2014

Nothing much has really happened last month aside from my first duty experience as a "Registered Nurse"(RN). It was a 2-week exposure at the hospital where we got assigned as a either a Staff nurse, a ward clerk or an Auxilliary aide for the day. I got assigned in an OB-Gyne ward which is more of a women/pediatric extension ward since there is another ward for the real pregnant and post-partum patients. The exposure taught me a LOT. Forget the lax duty hours but this is real work already! Expect the hectic work even if I had an experience of handling 4 or more patients before---this time is different.Haha.Like on our first day of 'Nurse work', we kinda finished late with just handling ONE patient! So there ya have it, the "newbie effect"---nakakapanibago as I could say. The whole shift is a work of charting and carrying out doctor's orders and medications. But I believe that work will be fine once you get used to the hospital's system. It's just a matter of adjusting to the new environment for now.
Anyway,I had a fun time with my group aka Team JessyJ as we call ourselves during the 10 days training. :)

The girls of team JessyJ plus our clinical instructor, Ma'am Lyka :)

And here is the whole pic of batch 2 ❤️

We went out at Metrowalk for shots after our case presentation day.It was pretty much, the first time that I hanged out with my co-trainees as well.

Then last Monday we had a girls' day out at Trinoma and had lunch at WingStop.

yumyum boneless Teriyaki wings.I'd loved to try the other flavors next time! :D

So that's what I've been up to last time. I'm currently back on vacation while waiting for that golden call. Well, it's bound to arrive on the right time! #tiwalalang ;)

In the meantime, check out this mash-up of the year by Dj Earworm called "Do What You Wanna Do".

Happy Hugggtober from the crew ❤️

Parties with my 2 favorites

Sunday, August 31, 2014

I've been attending events for the past 2 weeks and I'm so overwhelmed that each of it was with my favorites ❤️ My whole month of August has become so much fun and fearless at the same time! Fearless as I took my IV Therapy training at Capitol Medical Center and it went well. I hated IV injections and I was even so scared to be pricked by it.Yet I suddenly overcome my fears at it as my partner on the training pricked me twice! Hahaha :)) My veins on my hands were quite hard to detect that's why the nurse supervisor suggested to prick me on both hands. I did not mind about it,though. I took it as an experience and went fine. Nonetheless, I look forward to more of my RN trainings soon! :D "let the right job arrive to you on the right moment. #notetoself"

ain't a "back-to-school" season no more!

Monday, June 16, 2014

I'm back! :) This is the first June that I'm no longer dreading it as a 'back-to-school' month anymore!hahaha.I find it surreal though I remember back in the days,I used to rush over to my classes and wait for it to end.And now here I am,job-seeking and having my anxiety temperature risen for the results.I bet every board-taker feels this way but indeed, you need to relax, unwind and have a positive mind about it.Have faith and pray fervently!.I have been spending the time with my family and friends lately and it was awesome. :) Yet when I get bummed at home,I just read a book or watch some shows.Perhaps I could share on my next entry about my temporary laid-back situation. ;)

So anyway, last Thursday(060514),me and my friend had a hang-out at Shangri-la Mall and watched "The Fault In Our Stars".I read this John Green book last January and this was like the second book that made me cry.Seeing it on the big screen now is more touching than ever (especially the last part)!❤️ It's awesome on how they depict the roles from the book. The plot was unique as well--not the ordinary love story,I should say but it's not because the characters are terminally-ill.Imagine a loved one who already prepared a eulogy before he died?Or a loved one who would help you to go to Amsterdam just to meet your favorite author? That's true genuine love!!Hahaha :) Likewise,it has the right type of 'cheesy' in a romance film. You guys should watch it if you haven't yet!(and prepare some tissues 'cause it certainly is a tear-jerker.Haha!) Do read the book as well for at the end,you might catch yourself quoting a lot of good sayings to it.Lets say,"I always thought that the world is a wish-granting factory"?❤️
We had dinner at Johnny Rockets..

Rocket Singles with unlimited fries!

Then we went to Serenitea in which we admire its interior with its 'bird-cage' chairs.Pretty much, you can consider it as a good place to chill.

aaannddd that's about it for now!I was supposed to post this last week but unfortunately,I'm not having a stable internet at home ;| However,I'll manage to post my entries as soon as possible!
'til then! ;)

Panda in Manila.

Sunday, February 16, 2014

Who would have thought a pink panda exists?! Well not literally but it certainly is a pinky fine-dining cuisine! Last Saturday (021514), me and my friend had dinner in this resto called Pink Panda which is located at 4687 Santiago Street Corner B. Valdez Street, Poblacion, Makati City.

polaroid shoot with the panda buns :))

We actually had a hard time finding the place since we aren't familiar with the busy streets of Makati! Moreover, the place is below Y2 Residence hotel which is near A-venue Mall. My friend found out about this as she heard that this is one of Erwan Heussaff's newest ventures. And as we saw this panda-looking buns,we decided to try it. :)

As I was mentioning earlier, Pink Panda is a Southeast Asian Diner created by Erwan Heussaff together with the Hatch 22 group. It features a fusion of Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Filipino food. The place is not exactly filled with panda stuff or anything pink (though they do have a few pink decors) but the whole ambiance is more on bamboo and retro panda art on the walls. So here's what we ordered:

Pink Panty(P110). I have no idea why it was named like that but it tasted as good as a red iced tea.Haha ;p

General P's Chicken (P270). Orange chicken with dried chilies and fried peanuts

Pink Panda Rice (P180).Yellow rice with bits of chicken, Chinese sausage and lettuce topped with chips. And I do find this similar to Yang chow fried rice, yum!! :)

Panda Buns (P220).Yummy, cute pork panda-shaped buns that you would feel awe to eat for!

Since it was too cute,we even took a selfie with it!!lol.

Here's to that feeling when you're going to eat a cute little treat.Hahaha♥

You guys go try it!!It is certainly,a must!Check out Pink Panda Diner or @pinkpandamanila for more info :)

CREW-ventures at Kapitolyo!

Saturday, November 23, 2013

2 weeks ago,we had our training at Healthcare Advantage Institute(HCAI) located at Kapitolyo,Pasig. We took up Basic Life Support, ICU Nursing and lectures on physical assessment. The lectures were all good but I still don't like having return demonstrations after discussion!Haha, the agony of memorizing and understanding a checklist is ughhhh… -__-

Anyway,me and my crew friends had a happy lunchtime during our stay there as we explore the nearby restaurants around the town. :) Indeed, Kapitolyo seems to be the place for all foodies. The area is filled with fine-dining restos and shops; And so,here are some that we tried:

DAY 1: HARU SUSHI BAR & RESTO.If you're a fan of authentic Japanese cuisine, then this is the place to be!It's all Japanese from the interior, which is more exaggerating from other known Japanese restos in town. Although the food is quite pricey especially the sushis,it tasted good. I ordered Katsu Curry Rice which comes with Miso Soup.

DAY 2: SOHO.This fancy resto was just beside HCAI and they serve various Filipino cuisines at a very affordable price. The food tasted great as well, their menu changes often just like in a carinderia :) Not only that, the place also sells handcrafted designs.

DAY 3: RAMEN COOL .So we ate at another Japanese resto and this time, it's obviously more of a Ramen house but they have it…cold.joke! I actually searched this on the internet before we tried it and there I even found a clipart of it which is a ramen mixed with ice!So I was like,"seriously?!?!this I have to see!HAHA!!" :)) Well of course, the ramen was certainly hot…and it's the best I've ever tasted. This Neppanyaki ramen is a must-try!

DAY 4: CAB CAFE.We went Italian for the last day!Although there's a kebab in the menu…haha! :)) Yet, the highlight of our order is this pizza:

10 slices for P300!!

And here's the kebab that I was talking about.Mind you,it did tasted authentic with the strong smell of the mixed spices!

I loved to go back and try the other restaurants there soon!! ;)
'til then!

Ze birthmonth adventure.:)

Friday, November 1, 2013

I was supposed to post this last week but suddenly, shit happened in school. It almost came to a point that I won't be able to take my subjects for next sem which was horrible. So all throughout the week, I was so depressed that I even felt like I'm about to have a heart attack then as I thought of the possible remediation. But as we had another chance of re-taking our finals,I fortunately made it. :') Words can't explain but during that time,I really wanted to cry after all those tensions and sleepless nights!!Yet at the end of that day,I gave my full gratitude to my parents who has supported me all along. And most of all,to the Lord. 0:') So that ends 1st sem!Time to relax and rejuvenate in this very short sembreak aka time to YOLO! I've been actually catching up with my favorite tv series at home lately---Suits and New Girl.❤️ Plus,i'm back to reading "Entwined With You"(yes,it's been a while from my Crossfire feels.Haha).Everything seems doing pretty well.

Here goes some blog-worthy narratives.Anyway, this month is actually my birthmonth! :D All throughout has been very busy and surprising,I should say.The surprises started to flow during the last week of September(specifically,09/27) where me and my family went to Eastwood for the Beer Festival.Happily, I met Sam YG there once again since he's hosting the event! :"> But unfortunately, I had no pic with him 'cause my brother wasn't able to take it on the camera.hmppph.Either way,it was nice talking to him then ;D
The week after that,my parents finally gave me a Samsung S4 as a birthday gift! :') Then came Saturday(1005) which was my birthday and I celebrated it at URBN. I was with my #crew friends plus Jojo the love survivor of 'Boys Night Out',Dj Tonytoni, and Anjie&Vikas Gogna(Sam YG's siblings).

My crazy crew gave me a 'Fifty Shades'/radio-inspired cake and a birthday plaque.omggg yes, they're definitely the best.❤️

However,it was a bad thing that I got drunk early that night so i sadly wasn't able to talk with the other guests..i truly hate myself for that ;(( Yet, i cannot believe i just had my birthday with some of my favorites. So once again,i thank the lord for making this possible :')
The following weeks after that,I ended up being busy with the schoolwork and hospital duties.Aaaanddd there ya have it!I'll try to post more before this very short break ends,'kay? ;)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

study hard.PARTY HARDER

Sunday, July 28, 2013

Oh well,if it isn't my last(maybe) entry for the month again! ;o Believe me, I actually have some topics to share on but then I have been very, very, very *inserts infinity sign here* busy in school. These neverending requirements are such a bombardment; Yet they sure do know how to make a true brain cells hurt!! Ughhh i just don't have a choice but to follow and sometimes to procrastinate over things.but anyway, those topics that I have in mind then will be posted here soon. So far now, feel free to talk to me on twitter or facebook.Haha :)

Meanwhile, last July 12th, me and my crewfriends attended the Toyota Vios Vibe party at NBC Tent, The Fort.

We get to be at the VIP area and there, we get to party with the celebs and dj's.Like i was so happy that Sam YG and the rest of BNO were invited to the event plus Carla Dunareanu and Boom Gonzales! ;D And there I went starstruck especially when I saw Carla because I wasn't expecting that she's really going to come.Yet,happily she did and I'm so overwhelmed that I met her again.aaahh, she's so pretty!! :"D Drinks there, chitchatting everywhere and dancing anywhere...it was an epic night indeed :") I actually didn't care that we have a morning shift duty on the next day.LOL.Though when we arrived home at 1am and even if our calltime in school for the duty was 5am, I was able to make my case study 'til 2:10am.So basically, I get to sleep for only a very few hours then. Imagine going to duty on a sleepy mode?dammmmn!hahaha! pero dbale, masayang masaya naman kami nung gabing yun eh! ;)) I went to duty with a slight hangover but thankfully, nothing happened badly. The only thing was that, I was very groggy that time.Haha! So that's how we recently partied :) Here's a pic of the new Toyota Vios:

credits to Toyota Motor Phils for the pics. You guys better check that out on your nearest Toyota dealer!Visit www.viosstartthefun.com for more details :)

That's about it for now.Hopefully, I'll be able to post more entries by next month! Our pics with the celebs are more on my Facebook and Twitter account.
'til then! :)

Camo for May :)

Friday, May 10, 2013

I decided to have a camouflage/flower theme this month :) I won't be changing my layout though since i just changed it a few weeks ago(not to mention,i can't still move on from my Singapore trip.lol!) but maybe most of my designs and stuff will be in that theme.Anyway, here's a sketch that i drew about it:

So moving on,the week started with Cinco De Mayo followed by 5/6 aka "Indian Monday"!! :))
Me and my friends,or as we call ourselves as the C-Tribe,hanged-out around downtown Ortigas then headed at the Magic 89.9 station again for BNO's "Manyak Monday". ;D

These were taken outside the booth.Unfortunately, there were many visitors during that time as well so we weren't able to go inside right away. But on a happy note,Sam YG went out to meet us!:) So we end up having a little chit-chat during the commercial break.'cause yeah,i miss him so much :"> We even get to meet Ramon Bautista this time and he's very funny to talk to.Haha,my friend's pictures with him are even wacky :)) Then once we got inside the booth,we had a 'picture-taking session' with them.

with Slick Rick and Sam YG!❤
check out my pics with Sam and Ramon on my Instagram. ;)Hihi,it was neat enough that me and Sam are in our camo outfits..;D

Then afterwards,we decided to leave because there were really many visitors then.Either way,it was such a lovely night being there.but no worries, there's got to be more hang-outs with the boys soon(hopefully!) ;) Anyway,my friends had a sleepover at my house and that ends the whole night.

Last Wednesday,i was at Trinoma to watch Scary Movie V and it was funny inspite with all the green green jokes :)) I was even surprised that Lindsay Lohan and Ashley Tisdale are there.Haha!plus I appreciate the "Fifty Shades of Grey" scene ;)) After the movies,i met two of my highschool buddies at Gong Cha where we talk a bit 'cause one of them is going abroad already :( Sucks that it was someone close to me but she'll be back soon!Reunited with them was awesome since i haven't seen them for such a long time!
Aaaand I guess that's all for now.At this point of time,I'm treasuring most of these leisure days already having that it's the last month of vacay slash last month of freedom -__- ughhh i don't want to think about school yet!Haha

'til then!

Coffee&Company

Wednesday, March 13, 2013

It's week 2 of uber stress and it's at its peak already.-__- Well, we've been having duty at the Mental Hospital lately and so far,it has been a fun experience.Setting up some therapeutic activities with the schizophrenic patients was hyped! :)) At first, you may see them frightening based on their crazy not-so-down-to-earth attitudes. But once you get to interact with them, you'd realize that these people are just mentally disturbed resulting from either abuse or trauma in their lives. So yea,too much mental stuff for now--i'll be writing a separate entry for this next time!

Anyway, part of the busyness last week was our Thesis title defense last Saturday and it all went great!! 9 BALLS babyyyy! The sweat of revising topics on the last minute and staying up late just to do this whole thing has paid of very well! :') Although we were warned about how bloody our topic is for some reasons.haha!Either way, cheers to TEAM FLOATING!! (yours truly and Rio C.) :)

Another happy part that we had last Saturday was that i had a cocol date with Sam YG together with my crew friends! :">

so..i met him again.♥ Being with a public figure has always been starstruck-ing especially when it's your celeb crush :">

It was a day full of pick-up lines and chitchatting. He was very sweet and entertaining if you asked me.and i bet it's one of those moments that i'll never forget about him. ;) Indeed,"wag ka na sa ibang lalaki, dun ka na sa dj".HAHAHA! There's gonna be more to come soon, hopefully!♥

On the other hand, there will be an open house at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf on March 17 from 10am to 11:30am featuring their new drinks.

I thank coffee for keeping me company throughout this hectic week--or perhaps i should say,a HECTIC SEMESTER.The brew of the coffee beans just kept me awake and has made me a lark of my own for the sake of school stuff. Hence,i can't wait for this to end next week!!.it's just one more push and i'm done!

'til then!

PS: HAPPY 13!! #3rd ;)
