Crazy, Rich, Singapore

Here's my last Asian stop to revisit and it's great to be back after 5 long years!! Singapore has been one of my favorite places mainly because of its mixed race atmosphere. Moreover, it is so safe with the many laws that they implement (i.e no chewing gum,no food & drinks inside a PUV and the newest thing I've seen,no durian in selected areas!haha).

you may want to check out my previous posts about this country ;) I'd loved to visit some of them again but with such a short stay, I wasn't able to do it already. Nevertheless, me and my family watched the Grand Prix, strolled inside Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay.

I'd like to thank flyPAL for our airfare by the way! We purchased our tickets during their Independence Day promo :) I'm glad that we arrived in SG at a very good weather as this was the moment when typhoon 'Ompong' was in MNL (i hoped everyone was safe then!).

My view from where we stayed at,the Peninsula Excelsior Hotel.
Indeed, Singapore is true to be crazy rich. Their products have gotten expensive as they continue to have a booming commercialized industry. The city is filled with shopping malls like in Orchard Road which is a whole stretch of branded outlets. It's better to do price-compare before you purchase! I actually did not buy a lot here aside from stores that aren't in Manila. Another shopping district is Bugis Street which is more bound to souvenirs like the ever popular,"I ❤️ SG" shirts.

Riding the metro can be confusing but it's worth the save! This can be bought at any train station or at the airport; fare starts at S$6. GRAB is also a convenient mode of transpo yet it can get pricey during the night.
Last Sept 16th was the SG Formula 1 Grand Prix and half of that day, we spent it at Marina Bay Sands--my first time to be up close and inside that ship-shaped wonder!

To be honest, there's really not much in it besides admiring the structure and to stroll on more signatured shops. We stayed there for a couple of hours then we head on to Marina Bay Circuit for the race!

Such a stylish event pass ❤️ We purchased a single day entry walkabout at Padang 4 which is the cheapest (I mean,if compared to the other tix) yet quite far from the tracks. There were even no paddocks in this area so we relied watching it on the huge screens besides smelling the burning tires.I had a clip from the race on my Instagram ;)
This didn't excite me at first because I'm never a fan of race car driving. I just even tagged along with my parents who are the real die-hard automobile addicts. Haha! But my mindset has changed when I watched this whole event--i didn't expect it to be so much FUN. It wasn't boring watching 61 laps at all since this chase was filled with action and I like it.^^

Satay + wine=not a bad combi, isn't it?Haha! There are a lot of stalls selling Heinekken, wine and food while various dj's continued to play great tunes. Some people will even pull you out to dance with them (which somewhat happened to me.lol).

Congrats to Lewis Hamilton for the win! At the end of the day, I consider myself a Sebastian Vettel fan as a Ferrari racecar driver #5 ;D There are merchandise stores even outside the circuit so make sure to buy!

Another thing to appreciate here are the live concerts. Before the main race started, there were artists that performed at certain times and one of them is Dua Lipa.I cannot believe that I just witnessed her here in SG since I missed her Manila concert! *o*

She's amazing as she sang all of her released songs including "Blow Your Mind", "New Rules", "IDGAF" and the latest,"Electricity".

Then after the race, Martin Garrix was the final act of the show and thus, the place went party party! Of course, my favorite "Animals" was played and also, Dua performed "Scared To Be Lonely" with him. Clips of these are already uploaded on Youtube and my Instagram

Lastly, we went to Gardens By The Bay the following night. It is a botanical park where the iconic supertrees rise. We didn't get to go on top of it anymore but we watched the night show in which its lights danced to some of Michael Bublé's tunes.

Marina Bay is just across this place. And this is how it looks like during the day..

While here's during the Garden Rhapsody at night. It was such a colorful show.❤️

We also had dinner here in which I had a tasty chicken rice ❤️ Along with kopi tiam, chili crab, laksa, satay and dumpling soup, Singaporean cuisine is at its best especially in hawker stalls.

It was also my mom's birthday back then so yep,the dinner was on me at that time.Pretty much, this is where some of my backpay went..hahaha! ;p

And that's about my 2nd SG trip.Surely, I would love to come again as I look forward to touring the mixed race outskirts next time!
'til then!
