A Princess Diary Comeback in London

Monday, August 19, 2019

This might be an all-narrative entry for now because I don’t have a PC/laptop to edit my stuff :( I hope I get to buy one soon—when ze budget comes!Hehe. Anyway, I flew to London last March for career purposes. It’s supposed to be ecstatic for me but the thought of being away from my family is utter sadness.Though on a lighter note, all is currently well! It just takes a mindset of being in a long solo travel alongside work and that I have to live independently in which adulting strikes. Truly, the struggle is real! I never thought that half of my life here would be very domesticated.
In this entry, I’ll be sharing my own “British Starter Pack” and how I cope over the past few months. ;)

#2018Recap

Monday, December 31, 2018

Let me just say, that my year was filled with a lot of plot twists. I have revisited some Asian countries and had situations that I never thought would happen.Though I became idle for the second half, I didn't find it regretful as I was able to spend more time with my family and friends before leaping to the next step of my career. We all deserve to take a break once in a while; in fact, my lax months kept me busy besides gym and travelling. ;) So here are my top 10 moments that I’d loved to repeat all over again.

Just to brief things up,this is only the longer version of my resignation message to my workplace as I prefer to post this somewhere that I could express freely (which is here,in my blog!) ;)

DISCLAIMER: All thoughts are of my own and some statements are in Filipino language. No direct person is pointed out on whatever criticism I made on this entry.

After 342463 years, our department in the hospital finally pushed through on our team building (even for just a day!) We were divided into 2 since the ER cannot be covered by other special areas; I was part of the 2nd batch and our mini outing was held at Bakasyunan, Tanay. It was a 2hr-bus ride from TMC and unfortunately, there was a heavy downpour that time---but that didn't stop the fun spirit ;) The rain ceased a little when we got there due to the highest peak of the place. Pretty much, the venue offers a variety of recreational activities suitable for company outings whether it is for a day tour or an overnight stay.

going back to grammar school---the IELTS way

Friday, July 14, 2017

Almost every nurse in the country aims to work abroad and before they reach that rewarding goal, it is a prerequisite to take an English proficiency exam (commonly, the International English Language Test System//IELTS). So I took the academic module last June 17th at Novotel hosted by the British Council and gratefully, I passed 🎉

#2016Memories

Saturday, December 31, 2016

2016 has definitely been a year for CHANGE .I've gone through periods of adjustment to survive the year.I couldn't say that it was one of the best but it was fun and thrilling.Although this time,I only have 5 top mems because of such shortcomings ;( Inspite of the drama, I guess it's a disguise that my dream to explore the world came true this year ;) So here goes my top 5 mementos.

ER and I.

Wednesday, August 3, 2016

Okay, let me talk about work this time. Eversince I came back from London last Feb., I got transferred to the Emergency Department and had training there for a month. At first, I really felt so disappointed that I got transferred---I will miss 5A-OBGYNE so much!! I got to admit that I despise to be transferred there based on the comments of incident-prone and chaos. Even if most people told me to take it as a career step.. it might be a step to hell. >;l

#2015 Memories

Thursday, December 31, 2015

Basically,2015 has been a lot of ups and downs for me.It was full of trial-and-error periods that at the end,all those hardships were worth achieving.Let it be the events I've attended, the things I started to like and the people who became so important to me.So here goes my traditional rundown of the year ;)

RN duty-duties

Tuesday, December 9, 2014

Nothing much has really happened last month aside from my first duty experience as a "Registered Nurse"(RN). It was a 2-week exposure at the hospital where we got assigned as a either a Staff nurse, a ward clerk or an Auxilliary aide for the day. I got assigned in an OB-Gyne ward which is more of a women/pediatric extension ward since there is another ward for the real pregnant and post-partum patients. The exposure taught me a LOT. Forget the lax duty hours but this is real work already! Expect the hectic work even if I had an experience of handling 4 or more patients before---this time is different.Haha.Like on our first day of 'Nurse work', we kinda finished late with just handling ONE patient! So there ya have it, the "newbie effect"---nakakapanibago as I could say. The whole shift is a work of charting and carrying out doctor's orders and medications. But I believe that work will be fine once you get used to the hospital's system. It's just a matter of adjusting to the new environment for now.
Anyway,I had a fun time with my group aka Team JessyJ as we call ourselves during the 10 days training. :)

The girls of team JessyJ plus our clinical instructor, Ma'am Lyka :)

And here is the whole pic of batch 2 ❤️

We went out at Metrowalk for shots after our case presentation day.It was pretty much, the first time that I hanged out with my co-trainees as well.

Then last Monday we had a girls' day out at Trinoma and had lunch at WingStop.

yumyum boneless Teriyaki wings.I'd loved to try the other flavors next time! :D

So that's what I've been up to last time. I'm currently back on vacation while waiting for that golden call. Well, it's bound to arrive on the right time! #tiwalalang ;)

In the meantime, check out this mash-up of the year by Dj Earworm called "Do What You Wanna Do".

The things that I've looked forward to.

Friday, October 31, 2014

My apologies for taking too long to post another entry this month. Like I said last time, I became busy with my training to the hospital that I applied to. I had my first 2 days of duty last Mon-Tues and it was good :) I was assigned in an Onco-Surgical ward. It was my first time to handle cancer patients as well---and a first time to handle foreign patients! But as a trainee and a first timer, all I did during the shift were clerk work.Though sometimes I get to assist my mentor staff with the procedures. So there goes my #dutyduties experience for now. My next training will be around next month so currently, I'm on a break ;D

Anyhow,I was still able to witness the things that I've been looking forward to inspite of the busyness in training.
