Crazy, Rich, Singapore

Sunday, October 21, 2018

Here's my last Asian stop to revisit and it's great to be back after 5 long years!! Singapore has been one of my favorite places mainly because of its mixed race atmosphere. Moreover, it is so safe with the many laws that they implement (i.e no chewing gum,no food & drinks inside a PUV and the newest thing I've seen,no durian in selected areas!haha).

you may want to check out my previous posts about this country ;) I'd loved to visit some of them again but with such a short stay, I wasn't able to do it already. Nevertheless, me and my family watched the Grand Prix, strolled inside Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay.

(040218) "Will you be my WITNESS?"

Tuesday, April 10, 2018

I have never thought that I will STILL have the chance to watch Katy Perry inspite my very busy schedule ('career burnouts' perhaps); In fact, I was quite decided that I might really miss her concert this time 'cause I honestly couldn't afford the tickets even if i can save money for it after being on sale 5 months ago(yep, buying concert tickets on the first day is not my thing. I usually buy when it's about to be sold out!Haha!). I even slashed my idea of trying to get an M&G pass 'cause I'm losing my chances of purchasing a ticket.I joined several online contests as well but it brought me no luck. ;( Yet, coincidentally my day off from work landed on a Monday (April 2nd) since I was assigned to work during the Lenten holidays. So that whole time got me thinking: "should I go to her concert?"
Pardon me for a long foreword before I tell about the entire concert. This just means so much to me that in my language, it was 'biglaan at its finest'.Haha! Anyway, I already have my own duties on that day and none of it was to go to the concert. But apparently that time, I was scrolling for updates on the KatyCats' group until I saw people selling their tickets for a very cheap price!

I even posted my thoughts on Twitter that moment as I felt sick of having second thoughts of going to the event. However, I couldn't bring myself to pack my gym stuff anymore so my decision: I CANNOT MISS THIS CONCERT. To my mind, it'll be another 3yrs before she comes back here again so I'd go for it and tried to bargain the ticket.(nope,i didn't take that 7K offer.I bought it from someone else and I settled for a lowerbox A seat).I took the risk of commuting from my hometown to Mall of Asia for the first time alone and when I got there to meet the seller, I was shookt when he suddenly said "Miss,VIP nalang tong kunin mo ha" and from there I was somewhat out of my mind,I had another second thought that this might be a scam or something--but it's NOT!as in,oh my gosh...I'm gonna see Katy up front!!

I was so close from crying as it happened too fast; rather, medyo nawala lang ako sa sarili.Haha I'm not prepared!! But definitely,I have to enjoy this opportunity and thus, here we go with the concert proper! ;D

It's BRITNEY,b*tch! (061517)

This was posted on my IG story yesterday afternoon :)

The long wait is over as the pop princess hits the stage at SM Mall of Asia Arena!Well, who wouldn't resist going to a (could be) once in a lifetime show?'Cause this artist has been my childhood favorite before the dawn of my current idols ;) So I didn't mind spending a lot for a lowerbox seat---and of course,it was all worth it! a 9/10 rating for me ❤️

The "V" tour with Maroon 5

Saturday, October 31, 2015

This just arrived so unexpected---that I get to watch Maroon 5 in concert (which i bought the tickets on the last day of August!Haha!) Even if we got our seats slightly elevated,i had fun.It was certainly worth the watch. Thanks to that lucky online seller.Haha :)
 photo maroon8_zps2d8s6hvb.jpg

The concert was held at SM Mall of Asia Arena last Sept.17,2015. I think it was their third time around to be here and it was awesome. It was also my first time to watch them and pretty much,my first to be in a legit sold-out concert! :0 So I was like,"wow!I never thought a full-house concert would be like this!".Fans got so wild during the whole concert as the band sang most of their hits from their album,"Songs About Jane" until "V". I wasn't able to take a lot of pics but I get to record several clips of their performances..

Here's "Animals" as their opening act.

While here's "Sugar" as their final act. Check out my Youtube page for more Maroon 5 clips!

So basically, this is my view on how far my seat was from the stage.Haha! But it was still worth it since the arena was very elevated. No need for binoculars,I should say.

I hope they'll be back again soon!!

Prismatic World Tour Manila!!

Thursday, May 28, 2015

ahh yesss!touchdown Philippine Arena! And it was just a 45-minute shuttle ride from Trinoma. The area was certainly huge as it was filled with several booths of Katy Perry merchandise (which I will discuss later) and food stalls.

"we just wanna make the world daaance!" Jessie J LIVE in Manila

Wednesday, July 23, 2014

I went to Jessie J's concert at the SMART Araneta Colliseum last July 14 and it was a blast! I did not expect that she would throw up a disco-kind of concert!! :) Her first set would definitely make you stand up even if you're not at the patron to dance near the stage.Haha. I only know the songs that she released but after the concert, I had a lot of new favorites from her. I currently like "Sexy Lady" and "Calling All Hearts" which are part of the first set. Plus,I also started to like "Who You Are" because of the meaningful lyrics of it(I did not even know that it's her song!Haha!).I adore the chorus so much ❤️ it goes: "Don't lose who you are in a blur of the stars.seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,it's okay not to be okay.Sometimes it's hard to follow your heart. But tears won't mean you're losing, everybody's bruising, just be true to who you are" ;") I wished I could have taken a video of that performance. However, I have a few clips from the concert (pardon me for the poor and shaky quality). Some of the videos also were taken through my phone so it was really blurry;but I just really have to upload it.

#2013 MEMORIES

Tuesday, December 31, 2013

Indeed, this year has been a blast and it's one of the BEST!I may be busy all throughout, but the year has brought me in to a lot of surprises and to "things I never thought would possibly happen". :')
10. CROSSFIRE. Last year, Christian Grey was the ultimate peg; Now,this new book series nailed it! The Dark&Dangerous Gideon Cross stole my heart this year.❤️ Just like Mr.Grey, this man has his own 'problems' too (and so as the heroine character in the story,Eva Tramell). But their love affair is sweeter than Steele-Grey :"> The series is already on its 3rd book and it has more mature content. So if you're legal(18+) and curious on a different kind of romance, try reading this :)

and btw,the story's not ending on the third book yet! ;D

9.Camo luvin'.Meet the newest addition to my favorites!Tho purple is still my most fave.I somehow don't know why I got hooked on camouflage when it's just all of a sudden that i started collecting stuff in that print(and it drives me crazy!hahaha!).No wonder,it does look unique. But you know,I don't like military nor soldiers---except for a #soldieroflove perhaps.oops!HAHAHA ;))

8. Christmas with my Japanese cousins. Shopping + roadtrippin' + drinking sessions with them was great!! :D Mind you,it's been more than 10 years since they've last spent the holidays here since they usually go around July. Thus, touring them around town has always been fun.Check out my facebook for our pictures :)

7. Concerts!concerts! I'm pleased to attend 2 concerts this year; from Demi Lovato's to Carly Rae Jepsen's :D Like what I've reviewed last year, Carly Rae became one of my favorite popstars 'cause of her upbeat songs. While for Demi,I really am a fan of hers since she starred on Camp Rock. She'd be my idol if I were a highschool teen now 'cause I find her similar to Kelly Clarkson :) Anyway,I was supposed to watch Ke$ha's also but unfortunately, school screwed it up for me (hashtag duty problems T__T).However,i look forward to watch more concerts next year! :)

6. Dance with the GFORCE. After 987654321000 years,my plan of enrolling myself to a dance workshop once again has finally come true!lol. And it's not just any dance workshop..I can't even believe at first that I'm on a dance class from a group that's performing on ASAP!Hence,it was really great.i despise rehearsals but i do miss them especially the moments when we're practicing the choreography already :) I'm glad to be part of Jazz funk batch 1 by Teacher Sherwin Casepe! This whole workshop just built more about my stage presence dancing skills.Hopefully next year,i'd be able to join again.Watch & Read the show here!

5. Epic CREW-ventures. We may be tangled by our hectic scheds in school, but we still found opportunities to unwind and HAVE FUN! Call it dramatic but I do feel disconnected to the world if all I do is to go to school then go home in a day.Sometimes, you need to take a break from it--like going to new places and trying new things which my barkada usually do. :)

how to spell FUN and CRAZY with these people. :))

4. My crazyyy 20th birthday.

Simply, a beautiful mess.yet unforgettable. It's the most memorable moment that i'll have for the 2nd decade of my life.I do have very surprising guests and gifts, but the fact that I passed out was just....ugh,eff THAT.lol.Wanna recap it?.

3. Grease Manila(111013).like I said, I'll never forget this play ever! Some people even discouraged me from watching it as I was deciding before if I'm really going to watch. But since I've been hooked to this eversince I was watching the rehearsals on the net and my favorite will be there,I suddenly thought that I can't miss this show.and so,things happened--I watched the show and it was amazing plus surprisingly,I get to meet the cast at the end. ;D I'll never forget that moment when Carla D. hugged me that time!♥ tell me more, tell me more! ;p

2. #helloSINGAPORE!This made my summer vacay this year superb ♥ Our whole trip there was absolutely amazing from endless shoppings, diversing with mixed races and our whole day at Universal Studios.Indeed,i'd loved to go back there again(and I AM coming back!!) soon ;) Reminisce with me here: part 1 l part 2 .

1. Friends with the DJ's.---well not just DJ's but also theater stars! And I'm so pleased and thankful to meet them.I didn't expect such things to happen!Especially meeting my 2 favorites, Carla Dunareanu and Sam YG for several times! :"""> Yeah,i got to admit that i usually have those 'embarrassing moments' to meet them;but having the guts to do it surely turns out to something!Haha.Though when it comes to my favorite days with them, the most would probably be with Sam.♥ oh lord, thank you for making this possible!! 0:")

(from L-R)with Andi Manzano,Slick Rick,Ramon Bautista,Sara Meier,Carla Dunareanu,Sam YG,Jojo the "love survivor",Boom Gonzales,Jennifer Blair-Bianco, James Stacey,Rafa Siguion-Reyna,James Laurel

Now that's a wrap! And I'm sure the funnerness won't stop here--there IS MORE TO COME. :) So why not we gallop for more new memories next year?Haha! 'til then!I would like to thank everyone who reads my entries here.thank you, thank you,THANK YOU!!!

'cause it's always a GOOD TIME!!

aaaannddd ze long wait is over! :D Last Aug.07,I went to Carly Rae Jepsen's concert at the SMART Araneta Colliseum and it was awesome! I got to admit that the show was very short since she sang all the songs in a medley(actually, the intermission between her show and the front act was the one that took long). But anyway,it was all good. She's even so cute on stage!! :)

more pics at photobucket.com/juliasgraphics
I didn't know that she had a recent change of her hair color then from brunette to redhead. Now she looks whiter with that kind of hairdo! Though she was very entertaining throughout the show like she keeps on talking about her love story which is quite the story behind her songs. Here's a quick vid of Carly doing a little tap dance:

more CRJ vids here on youtube.com/hauntedtwist :)

At the end of the concert,I took a pic at the Candies' carpet which featured of course, Carly Rae.The pic is on my instagram (@juliacoleen). I even spotted one of Adamson's volleyball player, Mayette Zapanta :)

Soooo there ya have it!I'll be changing my layout then in preparation for ze brrr month.Oh wow, time flies really fast isn't it?
'til then!

PS: I hope everyone's safe from the typhoon last week!

Rihanna//Chris Brown Concert :)

Friday, August 21, 2009

aaaaahhh, all i can say is that Rihanna&&Chris Brown are AMAZiNG. :]
it was such a fun fun fun night yesterday as i get to watch their back-to-back concert live.how cool is that?haha.Approximately, there are 70,000 people who watched the concert so yeah,it was very very crowded like everyone were squeezing in to lean front.there are no seats in the concert as well that's why at the end,i felt sooo tired walking and standing still and it was so hot!Not all people get to see the singers on stage though,it was heck far like only people from the platinum[VIP] area can see it!grr,unfair.lol.But there are screens to rely on.it was a good deal.
Chris Brown started the show with all the dancing and little bit of singing[idk of the song].He got a Dj for the intermission and it was awesome!Everyone started to dance when the Dj started to play music from the different singers like Flo Rida,Ne-yo,Timbaland,Metro Station and many more.it was sooo fun! There are alot of dance exhibitions that time including a boys&girls dance showdown and he danced to the tune of Michael Jackson's songs.hahahaha.He sang songs like "Run It","Yo","Say goodbye","No Air","With You","Kiss Kiss","Forever" and more.i really enjoyed his performance of "Forever" and "Kiss Kiss".that was really great =]
After all of CB's performances, there's like a 20 minute intermission of a fireworks display from Globe and it's like New Year.lol! The fireworks were exquisite and at first,we have no idea why there are fireworks.haha,i thought it was from Rihanna, lol, how funny.xD.Then after that, there's a 30 minute break.
Rihanna came in with blast performance of "Disturbia"[aaaaaah, one of my fave songs from her!!].it was soo great like i was screaming for joy when she appeared and man,her outfit is so stunning!!she was really sexy and yah,see for yourself when i uploaded the vids&pics here.hahaha :p
After that, she sang "Breakin' Dishes" then "Rehab","Let Me","Break It Off","SOS","Good Girl Gone Bad","Unfaithful,"Dont Stop The Music","Shut Up and Drive","Take A Bow" and "Umbrella".She keep on saying "manilaaaaaaaaaa!!" hahahaha xD.i really love all her performances especially "Disturbia","Dont Stop The Music" and "SOS".All of her outfits are black.Lastly, she sang "Umbrella" at the end then Chris Brown appeared singing "Cinderella" with her.oh,it was very fun :]]
and ya know what Rihanna said at the end?"Manilaaaaaaaaaa,we love you!!you guys are such a great audience!!WE'LL COME BACK"
that's all!

So What 'Cha Think About That?! :)

Friday, June 12, 2009

so yesterday i watched the pussycat dolls' concert at the Mall of Asia open grounds and whoaaah!they're awesome! :D
haha,miracles!it didnt rain.
well it's my 2nd time to watch them LiVE here and compared to their first concert in Manila(7.28.06),their show was a bit shorter
than last time.hmmm.. :l
Anyway, there are a lot lot lots of people watching owing to the fact that its a 'no-seat' concert.haha, bet y'all didnt know,
MOA has a last-minute promo to get a Silver ticket at the concert for ONLY P500(or something like that)!(the actual price of it is P1500-P2500)
You just have to buy the SM greenbag[worth for like P140] and 2 200ml CLEAR shampoo then you might have a chance to have a
free PCD poster plus a Silver concert ticket!
we gasped when we saw those stalls around the mall...haha.xD
Anyway, the show started off with a front-acts from Fil-Am singers/groups or whoever they are.lol,i wasnt really paying to
attention to them and the people beside us got bored on their performance.hahaha!they sang like 3 or 5 songs in a medley
then after that, they have a performance with the All-Stars and i suppose that's the coolest they've ever done.
After that, there's a long intermission before the PCDs performed so they played 3-5 dance songs. Then as the last song faded,
lights were down, the screen pops up,then a quick listen to some of the PCD's songs in a medley and then they appeared.
their opening song is called 'Takin' Over The World' which is great.Only four of them performed though the other member(Jessica
Sutta) got injured. After their first song, they started to perform a medley of
their old released singles namely 'I Dont Need A Man','Beep','Buttons' and 'Wait A Minute'.Then they sang songs from
their current album 'Doll Domination' namely 'Elevator''I Hate This Part' and 'Bottle Pop' and 'What 'Cha Think About That?'
Nicole Scherzinger (leader of the group)
also gets to perform some of her own songs..[unfortunately,i was expecting her to sing 'Baby Love'.]
then after that, the other 3 girls in the group (Kimberly Wyatt,Ashley Roberts,Melody Thornton) created an audience
participation for the crowd.they selected 3 people to dance the 'Bottle Pop' on the stage then the rest of the crowd gets
to judge them on who wins.
After performing several songs from their new album, they performed 'Stickwitu'.The last 3 songs went into a medley again
namely 'Dont Cha','Jai Ho' and 'When i Grow Up'.i love love love their last performance sooo much!!their dance moves wowed me
up :D :D :D
and lastly, the show ended with a fireworks' display.
Approximately, the show just ended at around 10:30 in the evening.
well well,it was a FUN FUN show after all :D

so that does it then!
what will be the next concert?!hmmm..
