Gym Life.

As I have mentioned on my first post for this year, fitness has played a part with my activities and it has been great.❤️ Way back these all began, I do have feelings of denial when it comes to my weight. I didn't care how much I ate as I always reason it out with stress or that I needed energy to function at work. Plus, the fact of being called "chubby","malusog" or anything fat-related is so unpleasant and it adds with my depressing emotions that time. I despised it.
With that,my mom enrolled me to a gym club as her christmas gift; It's a one-year membership covering all access to classes, equipments and clothing plus a nutritional assessment and 4 trial sessions with a personal trainer.
From here I'll be telling about my experiences eversince I started in January and like I said, I never thought it would be fun. ;D

the DIET. The assessment taught me to practice the habit of small frequent feedings in order to meet my daily caloric intake.Basically, it isn't about prohibition but limiting and lessening your food intake.Rather, substituting junk to healthy meals is the key! Yet there will always be a room for 'cheat days' ;p

the TRAINING---& THE TRAINER.
Having a personal trainer (PT) wasn't really part of the plan in the first place. But since my membership includes 4 free sessions of it, that left me no choice to use it.lol.The first day of training was nerve-wrecking as usual like I'm very clueless of what to do. I don't even have the discipline to run on treadmills and what, dumbbells, kettlebells, barbels?! So my trainer taught me how to use such equipments during the sessions while tallying my bioscore assessment. It evaluated on how sedentary I was living so I decided to continue these one-on-one workouts.I got to admit that it was difficult from the start; there were moments wherein I thought I was gonna faint---but you have to push thyself to the limit ;) I was trained to do high-intensity interval training (HIIT) which is more on strength/cardio and core exercises. In every session, my trainer would gradually increase the weights I'm carrying, sets and repetitions depending on my progress. Subsequently, it was challenging yet fun even if I dislike routines such as burpees, jumps, cardio(sprinting,to be exact haha) and the newest, bench press('cause my fear of falling is intense). But at the end of the day, I find it very accomplished to learn new skills that boosts my stamina and good motivation.I'm currently learning how to do deadlifts and I never thought that I could do such a thing.

Likewise, I'm proud and also thankful to my trainer (Shandy Flores) for this amazing progress ❤️ Do join her Freestyle Group Trainings (FGT) every Sun (4pm),Mon,Tues,Thurs and Fri. at 5pm!

the CLASSES. There are various group classes at the centre throughout the day from freestyle groups, cycling and studio exercises(dance, combat, yoga, etc).I usually attend bodyjam, retropop, RPM and FGT HIIT and Core which are all based on my fave activities.^^ Pretty much, I'm grateful that I got the chance to dance here again and also, cycling is a good substitute as a cardio routine if you don't wanna hit the treadmill. Additionally, joining in freestyle group trainings is fun in such ways that you get to meet new people and somehow makes workout more productive. There are other classes like combat and bodypump but I rarely or never participate on such since my weightlifting practices in PT are already strenuous(and enough hahaha).

in conclusion. I had a great experience at FF Trinoma for the positivity that it has given me.^^ They have fine facilities from refreshments to free gym clothes and towels.Their community is so friendly that I'd never imagine meeting several people that turned into awesome peers (s/o to my mumshies!❤️).Hence,I would highly recommend this to those who'd want to start getting fit and strong.

I will certainly miss this place once I needed to discontinue my membership here but surely,my gym fam are for keeps and the rest that I've learned here ❤️
