my temporary laid-back situation

Wednesday, June 25, 2014

It's been 3 weeks of laid back lifestyle and so far, I'm enjoying it. :) The first few days of it was kind of surreal adjusting thyself from being a busy person. To me,it wasn't boring after all; I often go out with my family and friends and even if I stay home at most times,I fill myself in with activities that can divert from boredom.Namely, these are actually things that I did not have the time for when I was busy in the academics.lol.Here's a few to share:

*Watching aka 'bringing back the TV junkie'.I rarely had time to watch TV eversince I was in college. My fandom over reality shows then has somewhat ceased :( However, now that I'm through with my studies,I'm back to flicking the remote control again!Haha.I'm currently fond of watching the series,"Suits" ❤️ And aside from that,I also got hooked on watching PBA(which will be the topic on my next entry :D)!

*Reading NOVELS.One of my bucketlist for this year is to finish reading 10 novels and so far,I'm on my 7th book already!2 weeks ago,I've finished reading "Wedding Night" by Sophie Kinsella which is about a girl who married her teenage fling after a recent break-up with her boyfriend. But since her sister is against their abrupt marriage, she ought to chase them on their honeymoon at Ikonos. This book surely has a funny-romantic story from Lottie and Ben's crazy attempts to have sex to Fliss' ideas of monitoring her sister's honeymoon.Hence,I really like this story. Now,I'm reading "Can You Keep A Secret?" by Sophie Kinsella also and so far, all I can say is that "every girl wants a man like Jack Harper".Hahaha! ❤️

*Draw//Design.So I'm also back doing my old favorite hobby.I recently drew a chibi of me and my crazy crew with an outfit of their favorites.I inked them on photoshop and here's how I did 'em (note:I only put some graphic fills on the uncolored version for copyright purposes):

This is Bianca who is supposed to be looking as a chef but tends to hold a moustache instead. The blue shirt would just symbolize as her fandom to Super Junior specifically to Wookie.

This is Sophie wearing a Starbucks' uniform. The hat with antlers is inspired from Exo-M's Luhan.

Here's Kristine in her chinese suit. The whole outfit was inspired from the chinese boy emoji.I only added a few details in order to look more chinese.Haha!

And lastly,is yours truly (Julia) wherein I'm wearing a purple Kaftan together with a bindi(and no,i don't have a red dot in real life!).

so go on and take a pick!who is your favorite? :) More drawings coming soon!

*Loom band craze.

I often spent time with my younger cousins creating these trendy loom bands. At first, I really did not want to buy my own set 'cause I knew I'll be losing patience on it.But after a few weeks of learning patterns with the little ones,my parents bought me a set.So I ended up making a lot on my own in a trial-and-error basis.Hahaha :))But no doubt,it was fun!I'm in the midst of learning how to make a camouflage design ;D

Here's a design me and my cousin made inspired from the flag of Germany. And I will be giving this to Carla Dunareanu :)

Thus that wraps up my temporary situation.
'til then!
